So it appears everyone is trying to get their 5-a-day. And not in the normal sense either.

Fruit print is everywhere. It’s taken over my instagram and it’s sneaked into my magazines, sprawling about on pages left, right and centre. And guess what?

I love it.

I’d been waiting for a chance to pick up some fruit bag candy for some time, and coming home from a pretty shocking day at work last week I found this cutie resting on my bed.

Oh Mum, you sure know how to raise my spirits.

Mother picked up this sparkly watermelon clutch in H! by Henry Holland – this brand specialises in print design and quirky slogan tees plastered with quirky animal cartoons. I want this rain mac. And these daisy print shorts. Pronto.

I have the cutest pirate/bear print knit from there. It really is quite something.

So to go with the bag, I’ve picked out some brand new heels that my Mum has just invested in. They also happen to be right on style point at the moment (I don’t expect anything less from Mama). They’re actually from Marks & Spencers, not your run of the mill shoe shop but hey, I love shoe finds in unexpected places. So let me introduce her new M&S Lace up Heels…

Lace up shoes/heels are a  bit of a thing at the moment. They look laaaavly and they have that effortless feel about them. I particularly like these ’cause the heels aren’t too high, so I can dance all night long like a loon with my feet still intact.

New Look have got some really cute lace up sandals here. Shoe lust indeed.

Lace top (£28)  – Topshop

Watermelon Bag (£25) – H! by Henry Holland

Just touching on the Marks & Spencers thing again; I must say this is another brand, like Clarks, that is going through some kind of transformation at the moment. It’s jazzing itself up, it wants to be ‘down with the kids’. When I go through the clothes hall to get to the Supermarket, I find myself doing double takes at cute shirts, or cigarette trousers, or rain jackets in pastel shades.

Yes M&S, you’re getting it so right.

If you’re looking to get some fruit in your life, and not in the literal sense, then you really don’t have to look very far. There’s a spectrum of different stores selling this kinda stuff. From ASOS to New  Look. An I know  Primark have also got a rang of fruit clutches. So jump on the style train folks!
