So some of you might have read the ‘About’ section and be thinking:
“Why would you want to review your MUM’S shoe collection?”
Those of you who are thinking that clearly don’t know my fabulous Mother. She is the ultimate style icon and oozes sassiness when it comes to fashion. So yeah, back off! My Mum’s wardrobe, and more importantly, her shoe collection rocks!
So when browsing through her collection to start this blog, I came across these beauties below. And THIS is where ‘The Shoe Project’ begins. Let me introduce, the Miss KG Sparkly Heels…
So I was looking for a pair of heels to team with some skinny jeans and a stripy top, and nothing said class more than these bad boys.
These were a purchase from late October/early November time. I can imagine my Mum’s thought process went something like this:
“Oh gold sparkly shoes! They’re practically a MUST HAVE for the party season. I most certainly don’t have ANY SHOES LIKE THIS, I MUST HAVE THEM”
She’s a terrible liar, because I know for a fact she has a stock of sparkly shoes.
Kurt Geiger is a particular fave of Pammy (Mum) and looking at the website it’s easy to see why. I just stumbled across these. I think I’m in love.
In the photo above you can also see a few other accessories I clubbed together. There’s something seriously cool about my new ‘dazed and confused’ matt topshop nail polish. It was tricky to apply though – on first application it looked like I’d had a terrible accident with the tipex pen. Not pretty. The second try was much more accomplished!
I can’t finish this post without mentioning my Mother’s very cool Cheap Monday clutch, which I snuffled from her wardrobe also. (You’ll soon realise I am hardly ever wearing any of my own things – God knows what I’ll do when I move out *sigh*)
Perfect size for all the necessities of a night out, and I love the statement wording. Simples.
So to wrap it all up, I’d have to give the Miss KG Sparkly Courts a solid 8 out of 10. I had a number of compliments on them, but they did leave my feet feeling slightly crippled. Beauty is pain, I guess blah blah blah.
