LEOPARD PRINT IS STYLE QUEEN

It’s so chilly willy outside I feel like my fingers/toes/nipples *might* fall off.

It’s the kinda weather where you wish so dam hard that Ugg boots were still a thing. Why can’t they still be a thing? They made it so totally acceptable to wear slippers in public. I wanna bring this back. Can we bring it back?

Onto the blog post content now because I’m 100% rambling.

So here we go. Guess what style trend is banging right now?

SURPRISE. LEOPARD PRINT IS YOUR NEW BAE.

It’s top of the charts right now. It’s in every glossy magazine, every shop window & all over my IG feed.

Leopard print reminds me of my mother. I remember when I was young and she used to drag me round shops like the absolute shopping queen she is. Back then, at 10 years old, I didn’t like shopping and I couldn’t understand why every other thing my Mum picked out was leopard print (or leather). To me at the time, it was hideous.

And here I am now, dressed in double leopard print, a leather skirt with a massive shopping addiction; my Mother’s style traits clearly rubbed off.

I’ve put three looks together for a bit of style inspo this week. I think it’s proper important to remember that there’s different ways to wear leopard print – it doesn’t all have to be all Scary Spice inspired y’know? (Although admittedly she’s a major style crush when I’m wearing a bit of leopard. She so sassy)

 

LOOK 1

Wrap dress, check. Leopard print, check. Knee highs, check.

First off, knee high boots – yay or nay? I mean, I kinda feel like a hooker in them but I kinda feel like a super hero too. Sassy & a bit bad assy y’know? I can’t make my mind up but I know one thing; they keep my legs super snug and warm in this flippin’ cold snap.

This look is showing that there’s tons of options other than the classic tan and black leopard print design. A fave of mine at the moment is the khaki green leopard print design that I keep seeing everywhere, like this dress from ASOS which gives me all the wants. Oh and I love this beige and black leopard print knit which is certainly a little less classic and more subtle than your average leopard print.

 

LOOK 2

My most classic and basic blogger look. White tee, neckerchief & leopard print. Simples.

Pass me a Starbucks coffee and I’ve got my weekend uniform right there.

I know, I know, I’ve already waffled on about my F&F Clothing leopard print coat a billion times. But seriously, if you’re looking for a new statement jacket I really feel like you should be looking in the direction of animal print design. This was only £29.00 people, you don’t have to spend a fortune. But if you wanted to then this is the one I’d be going for <3<3<3 (and here is a budget version which is also a bit of alright)

Yup, the shoes. I know, so incognito.

This is my most subtle look, for those of you that wanna be trend conscious but can’t deal with the ‘in yer face’ vibe that leopard print can sometimes have. These shoes also tick the velvet trend too, so double brownie points & ten gold stars. They’re from Next and only £35 which if you ask me is an absolute steal.

Oh and on another note; this River Island cami dress. That is all.
