SHOPPING HAUL | FOREVER 21 & RIVER ISLAND

5

Shopping has never tasted so sweet. Sweet like the best champers on a hot summers day.

It was a spur of the moment Whatsapp thing:

Mum lets go shopping on Monday afternoon like old times. Me and you tearing up the shops like bandits. Lets buy all the shoes. Lets coo over all the dresses and skirts with pockets.’

Her response was obvs hell to the yeah.

After a whole year of saving up for the house and buying stuff for the house, it was the best kind of therapy to get out and spend some dollar on some good ol’ clothes.

Forever 21, a personal fave of mine and River Island, a surprise contender, had me eating out of their hands.

Let’s start with Forever 21. You have to search for the gems in that shop, but my gosh they are there, I tell yee.

Like this playsuit that very fittingly featured in my weekly faves on Sunday. I’m not usually a playsuit kinda gal for two reasons:

  1. I am a mere 5 foot nothing and they tend to be too long in the body, giving me a beautiful saggy crotch.
  2. My bum eats them.

But this baby fits like a dream for a start and blimey , int’ it nice?

From there it was no return. I was a lady on fire.

I scooped up this babin’ A-line skirt, a pair of black culottes and some basic long sleeved tops. As well as some casual t-shirts.

I’ve never outdone my Mother on the shopping front. Ever. Such a proud day.

So when I thought I’d got my full shopping fix I then stumbled upon this cute as a daisy pea coat in the River Island sale. It was half price so obvs I was gonna have it.

It’s really super light so I’ll wear it through spring with white converse and tops with stupid slogans.

I’ve got it all planned out.

It was £75 reduced to £35 and it’s still in stock in medium. So go go go.

Pink wool-blend check pea coat (£35)

My last purchase of the day was the new loves of my life, my River Island patent croc boots. They were also mentioned in my Sunday Faves, but just a wee mention again. Because Oh Em Gee they make my heart swell with happiness.

FYI also super comfy.

That’s my shopping haul for this week folks.

I’ll be doing my Weekly Faves Roundup early this week ’cause someone’s off on a banging hen weekend on Friday.

Uh huh. Me.
