So this weekend has been a bit nice. Thought I’d share some things that have made me smile like a loon from ear to ear.

1. H&M Heart Shaped Sunglasses

I’ve been stalking a pair of these ever since I saw some on Hannah Gale’s fabulous blog (who by the way is a serious girl crush of mine). Then to top it all off I saw a piece in Grazia about how heart shaped sunglasses were BIG this summer and everyone cool should own some.

I’ve always wanted to be a cool kid

So after some initial difficulties (the cool kids seemed to have nabbed all the heart shaped sungalsses from every shop I tried) I managed to track down these H&M cuties and add them to my silly oversized sunglasses collection. So beaut. You have to be happy wearing these babies.

2. Zara Dungeree Dress

I went to Westfield Friday night (SUPER SHOP SESH) and guess who had a sale on? Yup, that’s right, Zara did.  I spied this number just casually sitting on top of a pile of jumpers.

It winked at me.

The queue for the fitting rooms was huge so I thought I’d risk it for a chocolate biscuit and purchase it anyway. Besides, it was cheap as chips.

And then the best thing happened. The thing all shoppers long for. They put it through the till and it had only gone and been reduced even further to £15. WIN.

Someone out there is determined that I have a good weekend. Seriously, thank you.

3. Charity Shop Finds

So as many of you know from this post here, I’m gonna be fleeing the nest soon. This means I’m constantly on the look out for house purchases, as is my Mother. She’s rather excited about the whole thing (but most probably weeping inside).

Any who, look at this adorable dusty pink jug that she picked up from a charity shop this week. Perfect to hold the many flowers that will fill my house. I’m always envious of people who manage to find cool stuff in Charity Shops. It’s a skill in itself, that.

Ta for the jug Mum, you star

4. Topshop Jurassic World Sweatshirt

Last week I went to see the new Jurassic World film and was bowled over by it’s brilliantness and all things dinosaur.

I freaking love dinosaurs

They got it so right. And yes, I know it was super cheesy and really silly, but HELLO it was a film about dinosaurs. Basically I’m in love. Wanna watch it again, over and over.

So I practically peed myself a little bit when I stumbled upon this sweatshirt in Topshop. I was looking for something warm to take on a camping trip in a few weeks time, something snuggly which I could sit by the fire in, toasting marshmallows and reminiscing about my full two weeks as a Brownie. So when this Jurassic World number showed up in Topshop I was all over it like. Mine, all mine.

5. Milo’s New Hair Cut

My dogs hair grows and grows and grows until he looks like a yeti. And if we don’t keep on top of his time consuming grooming routine, he tends to get knotty and has to be shaved. Enter Milo looking like a shaven lamb.

He looks so naked and ridiculous. I laugh at him every time his slinky body enters the room. I think he’s developed a complex.

6. Booming Stats

This week I published a post called ’20 THINGS I’VE LEARNT FROM WORKING IN EVENTS’ and my stats have gone mental. If you’re not a blogger, you won’t understand the serious surge of happiness and sense of achievement it gives to know that a large amount of people are actually reading your blog.

It wasn’t a wasted 5 hours of my time – hallelujah.

So thank you to all those readers. You made my week.
