SPA RETREAT | WHAT’S IN MY BAG

7

Oh sweet, sweet annual leave stretched ahead of me.

You’re welcomed with open arms.

I’ve been willing my days off to come mega quick ’cause I’m so frazzled at the moment it’s unreal. My mind is as cluttered as a charity shop and as full as my Mums shoe wardrobe.

There doesn’t appear to be enough time in the week at the moment.

Do’ya ever think ‘life would be way easier if we had Wednesday’s off’?

I do.

So anyway, Max booked us a cheeky spa get away for the next two days. We’re escaping to Sussex, road trippin’ like back in the day. He’s such a babe.

Hopefully, by the time you read this we’ll be speeding along a motorway scoffing our faces with pick-a-mix, whilst I sing along to our super duper car play list.

Shades on. Emails off. Lets go.

Here’s what I’m packing for a spa retreat:

11

-TOPSHOP HAT. Because any trip away deserves the sophistication of a fedora. I feel like I’m gonna be jet setting away to Paris in this sweet little number. Alas, Sussex is the destination of choice.

I feel like Pharrells twin sister in this hat.

I picked this up for a tenner in Topshop this week. Just sayin’.

12

-NEW PJS. Please tell me I’m not the only one that has a habit of buying new PJ’s when going away? It’s a bit of a ritual of mine. Nothing better than spending the day in the spa, skin all glowy, and climbing into a large white bed in brand new PJ’s.

Am I right or am I right? Uh huh.

5

-SKINCARE ROUTINE. I’ve hit that age where I’ve all of a sudden become really concerned about skin care. Shock horror.

So I’m kinda trying out this new skin care routine where I actually remove all my makeup before bed (rocket science) and I smother my face with all these creams that are apparently gonna make my face look like a ray of sunshine.

TBF  I do feel a bit more glowy. But maybe that’s a mind of matter thing y’know?

So yeah anyway I’m gonna be doubly rubbing my face with stuff on my spa retreat. Let’s get nice healthy skin.

-A GOOD READ. For me, reading is the ultimate route to relaxation. If I’ve managed to sit down and read a book, I have found time to relax. And this is a miracle

Two separate people have recommended this book to me. Yes, you didn’t read that wrong in the photo below, this book is indeed about the art of tidying.

It’s also about decluttering and only holding onto things that bring value to your life. My kinda book.

I’ll let you know the score once I’ve read it.

-SWEET TREATS.

The motto of this trip is TREAT YO’SELF.

In all things, big or small.

So Galaxy Golden Eggs get in my belly.

P.s has anyone tried these? They are delightful.

-ALL THE BODY BUTTER IN THE WORLD

I can tell when I need a break by the dryness of my skin. My elbows are as dry as the Sahara desert right now. I know that’s pretty vile but it’s true. And I give you nothing but honesty people.

So I’m gonna be practically sitting in a bath of Sanctuary body butter for the next two days, returning my skin to its youth.

And THAT’S why I won’t be instagramming. Too busy body buttering.

-NIKE TRAINERS

Were staying in a quaint lil town with cobbled streets and independent shops. That’s what I call relaxing. So I’m slapping on my Nikes so we can do some endless wandering about, buying macaroons and slabs of cake.

Comfort all round.
